Oakfield Freewill Baptist Church

The Oakfield (Fond du Lac County) Freewill church was established with 49 members as one of Wisconsin's early Free Baptist congregations in 1849. It remained active until 1911. Membership reached a high of 98 in 1869, one of the largest in the state, and fell to lows of 30 in 1862 and again in 1906-1908.

Its founding pastors were E.N. Wright and Warren Whiting. Other pastors included L.W. Lee, Geo. W. Town, I.W. Drew, C.B. Waller, A.H. Annis, E.L. Lewis, J.C. Robinson, J.B. Gidney, A.D. Sandborn, J.E. Abrahamson, O.D. Moon, A.W. Bolt, W.R. Howell, H.A. Huey, S.A. Thurlow, M.J. Jewett and G. C. Alborn.
